Feversham College, as a school founded on Islamic principles, aims to provide the students
with a learning environment that nurtures and
strengthens their faith (IMAAN) to build a firm foundation for the future development and involvement as active members of the Islamic Sunni faith and of society as a whole, according to the Quran and Sunnah.
The Islamic ethos is at the heart of everything we
do at Feversham.
The college staff and governors expect an equal
commitment from our students and parents not only
in supporting the ethos of the collegebut by fully
embracing its values and practices on a daily basis.
Each College day starts with form time or assembly. They participate in activites which focus on aspects of Islam and moral issues. Time is allocated to daily Zohar Salah, students read Surah
Al-Kahf on Friday morning’s. Lessons begin and end
with a Dua; and we celebrate a range of Islamic
events such as Ramadhan and Eid.
December 2009 Islamic Ethos Update
We have had many activities this term, whole school reminders on Ramadhan, Iftar bags, Ramadhan activities, Hadith's every week and fundraising for charities.
'December Shining Star' was Prophet Ibrahim (pbuh), he was the friend of Allah (swt) because he was very obedient to Allah and his actions were very religious.
'December Building on Ihsan' was, 'Compassion is the basis of all morality.'
We continue to work with our students in helping them to develop their Islamic personality and to also develop the skills that will enable them to make a positive contribution to the society we live in.
